European Movement Ireland and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung invite you to an online event ‘A Multilateral Future: Ireland, the European Union and the United Nations’.

This event will examine the importance of multilateralism and rules-based international order, from the perspectives of the EU and the UN, the importance of Ireland’s seat on the UN Security Council in shaping multilateral developments, the defence and advancement of principles of global cooperation by the EU and the US.

The event will feature contributions from HE, Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason, Permanent Representative of Ireland to the UN; Frances Fitzgerald MEP, Vice Chair of the EPP Group in the European Parliament and Former Tánaiste, and Ben Tonra, Full Professor of International Relations, UCD School of Politics and International Relations. Matthias Barner, Director of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung UK & Ireland will deliver a welcome address as part of the event, which will be moderated by Noelle O Connell, CEO of EM Ireland.
