Entrepreneurs Jamie Heaslip, Allan Beechinor and Yolanda Cooper to share their advice on how to keep moving forward in business life.

21st May 2020: Glandore, facilitators of high-end flexible workspaces and serviced offices in Dublin, Belfast and Cork, will Zoom in on future-focused learnings from some of Ireland’s trail-blazing entrepreneurs and business people on Thursday 21st May as part of their Glandore Network virtual events for business owners.

The free virtual event ‘From Business Woes to Business Wins’ brings together three successful Irish entrepreneurs with a story to tell about their journeys from small beginnings to extraordinary success. Each of the speakers has had their ups and downs, and with the impact of coronavirus causing on-going instability for the business community on the island of Ireland, they will share some valuable lessons from their own experiences of overcoming challenges through resilience and innovation.

“We hope our speakers’ stories will resonate with and inspire many of our member businesses and help them as they face challenges head on in these worrying times,” said Rebecca Kelly, Director at Glandore.

Panelists participating in the ‘Business Woes to Business Wins’ event include Rugby legend Jamie Heaslip, Head of Brand for Flender, a brand, business and community focused firm enjoying considerable success in bringing investors and businesses together. The Dubliner’s experiences on the field for Leinster and Ireland will undoubtedly unearth important learnings on resilience, strategic thinking and strength as he addresses his audience of Glandore business clients.  An investor in several successful companies across multiple verticals, on his retirement from professional rugby he went on to work in Google full-time and dealt with some of the biggest advertisers in Ireland.

The impressive list of panelists also includes Belfast-based Yolanda Cooper, founder of WE ARE PARADOXX, a high-quality, and now worldwide, beauty brand with environmental and social responsibility at its core, seeking to educate consumers and other beauty brands on how they can reduce their environmental impact.  Her 90% plastic-free line of high performance, natural hair and body care has taken the industry by storm and is now stocked in retailers such as Harvey Nichols, Saks 5th Avenue, QVC, Urban Outfitters and many more.

Also joining the panel is Allan Beechinor, CEO and Founder, Altada Technology Solutions. With over 20 years of experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science, Allan is a well-established AI thought industry leader in EU.  Allan is one of few technologists to feature in the Gartner cool vendor list, Magic quadrant and industry leader board for Privacy Management within two years, with the rare accolade of doing so concurrently with three different privately-owned companies for a specific use case. Allan was a key contributor to help develop the first MSc for Artificial Intelligence in Ireland.  He contributed to the white paper ‘Irish Programme for Government for AI’ was published for the Minister for Innovation.

Henry Daly from Glandore added: ‘We invite all those interested in hearing and learning from these outstanding entrepreneurs to join us at 3pm on Thursday 21st May on Zoom, for what promises to be a very positive experience, and a great boost as our members and the general business community start to return to our new normal.  These business leaders will surely demonstrate that, despite business woes and setbacks, there are more business wins and interesting challenges ahead which we will all overcome, with a little luck and lots of tenacity. Welcome to the Glandore Webinar Network series of events!’.
